Bucket List Activities for Owners to do with Their Dogs!

As owners, our furry friends are more than just an animal to us, they are a human’s best friend. Dogs are incredibly loyal, trusting and caring. They don’t care about the materialistic things of a human. They want to feel and be loved by their owner, receive attention and someone that they can trust and depend on. It is only fair that we treat dogs like our best friends. There are so many fun activities you can do with your dog to make them happy and help grow a strong bond between you both.

The Pup Camp has come up with some fun activities that you can do with your furry friend so that you both have a blast!

Stay in a Dog-Friendly Hotel!

There are plenty of places where your dog is allowed to stay, make sure to do a simple research online of friendly accommodations. You can find hotels, cottages, cabins, and camping tents! Pick your favorite and have a memorable trip/get away with your furry friend.

Take a walk on a nearby beach!

Schedule a fun day out on the beach with your pup! There are several dog friendly beaches around Maryland including Downs Park Dog Beach or Quiet Waters Dog Beach. Some dogs like a cool swim after all the playing and running around in the heat!

Take your furry friend to get a doggy massage!

You are not the only one who can benefit from a day of pedicures, facials and massages. Many owners believe a dog massage can provide increased circulation, stress relief and improved digestion for dogs. Schedule an appointment with your nearest animal massage parlor and give your pup a break after a hard day at the park!

Schedule a doggy play date!

If you notice that your furry friend wants friends of his or her own species, find them one by setting up playdates! You can set up playdates with other owners’ dogs in the area. You can search for playdates in local parks near your home or schedule for your dog to go to doggy daycare…such as The Pup Camp!

Dine at a dog friendly restaurant!

When the weather is great, you will want to meet your friends or family for brunch, dinner or a happy hour. If the restaurant is dog friendly, take your pup next time with you. It will be a fun experience for not only you but your dog too. If it goes well, you could make it a regular weekly routine with the two of you.

These are some activities you and your furry best friend can do together and make a blast out of it. What are you waiting for?! Go have some fun! 🙂
